Top score brilliant ... I should keep this place a Secret .. as places of this standard are harder to find nowerdays..What the heck, enjoy your all worth it..
Was recommended this place, quirky setting, was full of hope, the food looked good but somehow all managed to stay tasting much the same, had to wait a while for the veg to accompany the rest of the meal- service OK, fake waiter plying us with niceties but couldn't really care less. Disappointing tbh. And expensive.
A cosy village pub with a well kept cellar. The two beers I tried were excellent and the choice at the pumps is changed regularly. A roaring fire was welcome on a cold winters day.
The best roast going! Whether its to eat and enjoy in the restaurant or as a takeaway it is easily the best roast dinner locally around! 5*
Found this by accident but glad we did. Excellent food and service in pleasant surroundings. Very good value. Be careful with the steps going in and out to the car park.
